I didn't learn how to lead from a textbook. I learned by living.
I'm Latasha “Tai” Black — a coach, strategist, community builder, creative, mother, and woman who has had to make a way out of no way more times than I can count.
I've built things without having all the resources. Led while questioning myself. Poured into other people while learning how to pour back into me. I've chased big dreams while raising children, navigated rooms I wasn't always sure I belonged in, started over, figured it out, burned out, gotten back up — and done a whole lot of healing along the way.
For a long time, I thought being powerful meant being strong enough to carry it all. I don't believe that anymore.
I've learned that there is power in softness. Power in slowing down. Power in boundaries. Power in asking for help. Power in knowing when to push and when to release. And power in becoming secure enough in yourself that you no longer have to perform strength just to prove you have it.
My softness isn't my weakness. It's my superpower.
How I coach
Today, I coach people who are somewhere in the middle of becoming — people with ideas, dreams, purpose, and potential who may not have all the answers yet.
Sometimes you need strategy. Sometimes you need accountability. Sometimes you need somebody to help you take everything swirling around in your head and turn it into an actual plan.
And sometimes you just need someone who can look at you and say, “Okay. I see where you're trying to go. Now let's figure out how we're going to get you there.”
That's the kind of coach I am. I bring strategy, creativity, lived experience, intuition, accountability, and a whole lot of real conversation to the table. I'm not here to give you a formula for becoming me — I'm here to help you become more of you.
What I believe
You can be ambitious without abandoning yourself.
You can build without breaking yourself.
You can heal and still be powerful.
You can lead without becoming hard.
“You don't have to wait until you're perfectly healed, perfectly funded, perfectly confident, or perfectly ready to begin. You can become while you build. That's Soft Power.
